Start! (10x10 Challenge pt. 1)

I don't know about you, but I get overwhelmed with all the need in the world. It takes me .5 seconds to jump on board with any cause, and then forget about it almost as quickly. Classic enneagram 7, amiright?

After watching The True Cost last year, I've been trying really hard to work on the way I buy my clothes. The documentary was eye-opening, and the first time I had ever really thought about how my purchases can effect people. So, I started wearing consignment, buying ethical brands, wearing what I already own. But, I'm going to be honest, I still mix in large chain companies. It's hard when clothes are so accessible and cheap to say no, be content with what you have, and understand the investment you're making when you buy ethically.

So starting tomorrow, for no particular reason than a random Monday in March seemed like a good time to start, I am doing a 10x10 challenge. My fav blogger, Caroline, has had me itching to start a capsule wardrobe for a couple of years, but whoa - that seems intimidating. So, I'm starting first with her 10x10 (with a twist!)  challenge tomorrow because I never pay attention to when she starts hers with her own blog community.

Over the next 10 days I'm going to wear the same (!!) 10 pieces of clothing. This includes pants, shirts, shoes, sweaters, dresses, skirts and bags. This does not include accessories or workout clothes - not that I generally need the workout clothes.

I want to get my feet wet in building a miniture capsule wardrobe so that when I build my summer capsule I'll have a little experience before committing 3 months of a capsule!

Ok, ok - I know you want the deets! What am I picking to wear these next 10 days?

1. Black high-waisted skinny jeans.

2. My absolute favorite madewell jeans! (10 inch high-rise with the cool buttons and frayed ends)

3. Cream Def Leppard Crop-top, I like this because it makes me feel edgy.

4. Black Oversized T-shirt.

5.   Madewell white and brown stripes.

6. Floral Kimono

7. Lavender Long Cardigan

8. Army Green Utility Jacket

9. Black Ankle Boots

10. Brown Suede Clarks

Will Report Back!!!
